Wednesdays During Lent – “The Lord’s Supper” Bible Study Series
Our God has graciously given us the gift of His divine presence in the Lord’s Supper for the strengthening of our faith and the forgiveness of our sins. Come each Wednesday as we study different aspects of this salutary gift of Christ’s body and blood given for you.

Sundays During Lent – “Journey To The Cross” Sermon Series
“[Jesus] said to them, ‘If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.'” (Mk 8:34) Our Lord has blazed a trail for us to follow, and bids us to come after Him. Each Sunday in Lent, come and hear what God has done for you in Christ, and what that means for us in the Christian life while we await His return.

Sunday, February 25 – Special Youth-Led Lenten Worship Service
The 10:45 worship service will be led by Messiah’s youth. Come and see how our youth serve the Body of Christ at Messiah. Sunday School is at 9:45am–all ages are welcome, from 6 weeks to adult!
February 18 – March 20 – Lenten Food Challenge
Bright Blessings provides thousands of snack packs for homeless and disadvantaged children in the greater Charlotte area each year. Many of these students do not have supplemental snacks during the school day or adequate nutrition when they get home. Messiah Church and the Preschool have a goal to collect enough food items in order to assemble 300 snack packs for Bright Blessings! **There will be NO Share Sunday to collect food donations in March so that the congregation can fully participate in the Lenten Food Challenge.
Place one or more of the specified food items in the Narthex each week for the Lenten Food Challenge (All items must be NEW and in unopened, individual packages. No peanut products.)
Wednesday, March 20 – Assemble Snack Packs
Come to The Gathering for a meal and to assemble the snack packs. Fellowship Hall, 5:30-6:30 pm.

Maundy Thursday (March 28) – Jesus celebrates Passover with His disciples, institutes the Sacrament of the Altar and goes to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray

Good Friday (March 29) – Jesus is betrayed, arrested, crucified and laid to rest in a sealed tomb
